In your author dashboard, the workflow has been divided into functional steps (who is working on the articles). Your to-do list focuses on articles expecting an action from you.

To-do list
Back to author	Articles failing technical check (after submission/revision)
Revision in progress	Articles sent to you for revision
Proof sent	Articles expecting your proof corrections
In progress (with editor or referees)	NB: those statuses will appear with the generic tag "with editor"
Awaiting assignment	Articles registered and ready to be sent to an editor
New submission	Articles newly assigned, start of review process
In search of referee	Peer review starts:  articles with no promised report yet
Peer review in progress	Articles with pending referee report(s)
Waiting editorial decision	Peer review ends:  articles with expected number of reports
Editorial decision proposed	For EiC only: articles with a decision proposed, to be validated
Revision received	Articles with a revised version, editorial decision is pending
Accepted	Articles being last checked before production
Production in progress
In production	Accepted articles sent to production
Finished
