E-mail: more copies to coauthors
The new version of Nestor allows you to put coauthors in cc of some messages sent to the corresponding author. This way, coauthors are better informed about the evaluation process. For this to work, you will need to activate the option in the template configuration:
By default the option is disabled, you need to activate it on any template you deem necessary.
Once this option activated, a check box will automatically appear when editing the message:
Technical notes:
- This option is available only on the following events:
-
message from editor to author
-
request for revision
-
article acceptance
-
article rejection
-
withdrawing article
- send to production
-
- When copying a coauthor, Nestor does not use the "cc" header, as this would cause technical issues on recipient servers (due to long authors list). Instead, Nestor uses the header "to".
- To mitigate the above, the following texts are injected in mails sent:
- to the corresponding author: A copy of this message has been sent to co-authors
- to coauthors: As co-author, please find below a copy of the message sent to the corresponding author
