7.30 - Coauthors Cc, LaTeX addresses extraction, lax ORCID account linking

The new version of Nestor allows you to put coauthors in cc of some messages sent to the corresponding author. This way, coauthors are better informed about the evaluation process. For this to work, simplyyou will need to activate the option in the template configuration:

By default the option is disabled, you need to activate it on any template you deem necessary.

Once this option activated, a check box will automatically appear when editing the message:

Three technical notes:

  • This option is available only on the following events for now:

    • message from editor to author

    • request for revision

    • article acceptance

    • article rejection

    • withdrawing article

    • send to production
  • When copying a coauthor, Nestor does not use the "cc" header, as this would cause technical issues on recipient servers (due to long authors list). Instead, we use the header "to".
