Depending on his/her rights, an editor can either propose or take a decision on a version.

  • If the editor proposes:
    • the event triggers a message to the parent editor, notifying that a decision has been proposed (usually: acceptance proposed to the EIC)
    • the article returns to the parent editor (who becomes current editor)

 

  • Taking a decision will send the editorial decision directly to the author
