Taking the editorial decision
Accessing the decisions
Once expected reports are received, the article will switch to 'Waiting editorial decision'.
This unlocks new actions related to editorial decisions:decision:
Proposals and decisions
Depending on your profile rights, you may propose or take a decision.
- Proposing a decision will return the article to your parent editor (who becomes current editor of the article)
- Taking a decision will send the editorial decision directly to the author
The recommandation system
There are three decision groups:
- Acceptance / Propose acceptance
- Revision / Propose revision
- Rejection / Propose rejection
Depending on the journal and your profile, each group will offer different choices. Typically for revisions, you will have the choice between requesting a minor or a major revision.
Clicking on the recommandation will pop-up the decision module:
For each decision
Reject / Request Revision / Accept = in this case, you will send the decision letter directly to the author.
