Current / In charge: how does editorial responsability switch?
For a given article, editorial responsibility is indicated by the green and blue colored tags in the editor module:
Note that the editor in charge can be also be the current editor!
Becoming "current editor"
Any editor assigned to an article will immediately getgets the green tag "current editor", and will be immediatelyis responsible for moving the article forward,forward. whichIf you are current editor, this means:
- the article will now appear in
his/heryour to-do list - the article will disappear from any
previousother editor to-do list - your role is to make sure the editorial process moves forward ಠ_ಠ
Becoming "editor in charge"
An editor get the blue tag "editor in charge" if thethese conditions are fulfilled:
- the editor must be assigned to the article
- when assigned, his/her profile must be "chargeable"
, meaning his profile must be identified as a scientific profile(see profile configuration).
Becoming editor in charge means you are now responsible of the scientific evaluation (ง •̀_•́)ง
Also, the article will appear in your personal dashboard (provided it is not already in your to-do list!).
Correcting the tags
. In other words, any editor assigned to an article will immediately be responsible for moving the article forward:
the article will now appear in his/her to-do listthe article will disappear from any previous editor to-do list
